The Split Pay function on SkyTab Mobile differs from splitting a check by splitting the payment into equal payments. On your POS system, you will see this ticket has multiple payments, but remains a single ticket.
Splitting a check is where you want to split the ticket into multiple tickets, where each ticket represents a guest or group of guests and only has one payment on each ticket.
Begin by selecting a ticket from My Checks.
Press the Pay button.
Select the Credit tender from the list for the payment. Your list may differ slightly from the example screen.
Select Split Pay (shown in the first screen). You will then be prompted to select the method for splitting the payment (second screen).
For equal payments, verify the number on the screen is correct, then press Continue.
Use the Custom Split Amount button when one person wants to pay a smaller or larger share of the check.
Each guest will continue through the regular payment flow, starting with being prompted to add a tip. The guest can select one of the suggested percentages or use the Other or Cash Tip buttons.
Press Continue after the tip has been entered.
Use the guest's card to complete the payment. Select a receipt option from the list.
